West Reading Restaurant Week - branding

 Logos and poster we whipped up for restaurant week in our favorite small town U.S.A. - West Reading, PA

Development:

New Mural Series : Nitro Bar

Part one: (The Reading Standard wall)

We set out to make a heavily distressed wall that looked like the inside of a vintage garage. 

The wall started as this, a solid cinder block wall that housed the new stairwell. A real brick facade was built on top of the wall that was sprayed with a matte black acrylic.

First test of the vintage Reading Standard logo in chalk. We erased this and made it larger to imply that it was "found". 

After we finished the logo we began to scratch, hit, slam, kick, and bite our way through what we had just finished painting

At the end of day one,  without much progress using hammers, chisels, and sandpaper, we decided to use a heavy duty paint thinner and angle grinders to finish off the look. Smooth sailing from here...

Back in 2009, we created this logo sheet to showcase a few of our logos.. that was 10 years ago!!

It's always good to reflect and see how much you've grown

So here it is, a grouping of logos from our designing past, here's to hoping we don't wait another 10 years to show what we've been doing since then.

SanCo - Branding and marketing

Wanted to shout out to our good buddy Mike Santarelli of SanCo Sound and Light for allowing us the opportunity to rebrand his soaring Sound and Light business. We were quite pleased with the outcome of this one.

Brainfruit Industries - branding and marketing

Branding we created for our good buddies at Brainfruit Industries. These guys have a solid plan for helping and building up artists in their community, and we're honored they sought us out. Check it:

Hot Dog Social Club - band logo/ apparel/ motion graphics

We've always felt a band logo should be iconic enough to stand alone, but simple enough that a kid can draw it on his notebook. That it looks good black and white, or ANY mix of patterns and colors.

We were real pleased with this one, too bad the band broke up shortly after this was made. sad face...

Distelink - Branding and naming

Our partners at Abnrml called us up and said "Good news! We're moving to Reading!" and we were like "YAY!" and they were like "We need a new name, got any ideas?" and so we were like "How about Distelink? It's like the PA Dutch distelfink, but none of the 'f'"

And that's how this shit gets made, children

Hair Royalty - Branding, cards and storefront sign

Complete branding package created for our friends at Hair Royalty in Muhlenberg, PA

After we set up the vector paths for the CNC, the wood was cut by our good pal at Bartush Signs.

We wanted the natural wood to peek through for certain details, so we primed the parts that were to be colored, and then used a 4 inch brayer roller to finish it off, so as to not fill any of the wood details

After roughly 4 coats with the brayer:

We then masked off all of the natural wood parts with painters tape, and used

bright purple spray paint to fill in the cut primed sections:

Back on the brayer, it took 5 coats of black to fill this in proper:

This is a sign that will be displayed outside, so we then used an enamel spray clear coat to give it a protective finish:

The framing and installation was completed by our Hydra partner Anthony Mark and T-Bone:

Pollen Consolidated - branding

Our good friends Rich and Amy Johnson reached out to us to brand their new arts and entertainment 'umbrella company', Pollen Consolidated.
